The wooden Halloween laser cut lantern was one of the first class projects. I started by finding a design online of a ghost and laser engraving it on the front piece of wood. The front with the engraved design, the back, the bottom and the sides were all joined together with nails and glue. However, the top was not glued, but velcro for easy access to the mini electric candle inside. The tools we used were the laser engraver and the nail gun as the wood pieces were pre cut to dimension. This project taught me how to use a nail gun. This project was the first to introduce all of our skills we have learned so far like Fusion 360, graphic designing and laser cutting. Overall, I had a fun time making the project and learned how to use the skills we have learned.

Modeled in Fusion 360, created with wood, nails, glue, a light and spraypaint.

After constructed, the lantern was spray painted.
