Julien Cheng our guest speaker, is an engineer with 3 degrees in the field of engineering. Julien started by talking about big world problems and how to solve them. He also reinforced the idea that engineering is not only for becoming an engineer, but it is for the purpose of becoming a better problem solver. He talks about using his engineering skills as well as his business skills. He talked about his journey as a venture capitalist. He taught us how to use tools for solving problems. This speech inspired me and made me thing so much more about engineering. It also taught me that engineering is not only for the career but it for for problem solvers. He uses his problem solving skills to invest in businesses. He invests in businesses that help people which I look up to. He talks about his background and his family. He was able to become a professor at Northwestern University and able to teach the world.
